Orientation (HELL) Week

ok ok Orientation is actually pretty fun! You meet tons of new people, experience living on your own, and basically just smoothly transition into the college life.

However, if your orientation happens to fall during basically the hottest and most humid week of the summer, it WILL be hell, especially if you are a Californian who escaped to the East Coast to finally experience cold weather and get away from the heat.

Weather aside, definitely go to all of the events, even the endless amount of infamous Wellesley panels. Yes they do seem like a drag at times but, at least for me, they remind me of the reason I'm here: To get an amazing education.

Anyway, I really do see orientation week as a hell week of sorts. You have a crazy schedule of events you are supposed to attend. In order to help you get to know the campus everything happens at different locations on campus, causing you to get a workout. Seriously, I lost at least 5 pounds if not more during orientation.

One last thing, when it's time for the mixer at the end of the week, don't behave so desperately. It's going to be at least 10 girls to every guy, not even joking. DON'T WORRY! This is not your one and only opportunity to see guys during your four years. You don't need to rush into anything when you can still hardly make your way around campus. Anyway, i'd say the MIT frat boys are MUCH better looking anyway ;)

P.S. Something I forgot to mention: Your first night will be VERY memorable.
